US Cast Iron Radiators Configuration

We’ve been manufacturing and assembling cast iron radiators for more than a decade, producing thousands of units built to exacting standards for hydronic heating systems.

1. Bottom Bottom Opposite End (BBOE) Configuration

BBOE - Bottom Bottom Opposite EndsBy default, all of our cast iron radiators are assembled in the Bottom Bottom Opposite End (BBOE) configuration. This means the supply valve and return (lockshield) are located at the bottom of the radiator, but on opposite ends, as shown in the diagram.

⚠️ Important: End caps have dedicated left-hand and right-hand threads and are not interchangeable. If your project requires a non-standard setup, please contact us before placing your order.

Unless otherwise specified, your radiator will ship in the standard BBOE configuration.

2. Top Bottom Same End (TBSE) Configuration

TBSE Top Bottom Same EndThe Top Bottom Same End (TBSE) setup is more commonly used in Europe. In this configuration, both the supply valve and return are located on the same end of the radiator—one at the top, one at the bottom.

If you require TBSE assembly, please call us at 212-814-6888 before ordering. This arrangement requires special end caps that are not included by default.

3. Top Bottom Opposite Ends (TBOE) Configuration

Top Bottom Opposite EndsThe Top Bottom Opposite Ends (TBOE) configuration places the supply and return diagonally—one connection at the top of one end, the other at the bottom of the opposite end.

If you would like your radiators built in the TBOE configuration, please let us know when placing your order so we can provide the correct end caps.
