Cast Iron Radiators Central Heating Fernox Inhibitor 500ml
Fernox Central Heating Inhibitor – 500ml (For Cast Iron Radiators)
Designed specifically for use in existing central heating systems, our Fernox Central Heating Inhibitor is essential for protecting your system and ensuring long-term performance—especially when used with traditional cast iron radiators.
In compliance with BS 7593:2019, all heating systems must be dosed with inhibitor to reduce corrosion risk by lowering oxygen levels in the system water. This is particularly important for cast iron radiators, which hold significantly more water than modern steel radiators. Installers often underestimate the amount required, which can lead to inefficient protection.
Our nitrate-based formula has been specially developed in partnership with a leading chemical manufacturer for use in closed-loop heating systems featuring cast iron radiators. Each 500ml bottle treats up to 100 litres of water. We can provide radiator water volume calculations to help ensure you dose your system correctly—including pipework, which varies depending on system size and layout.
Key Benefits:
– Formulated for cast iron radiators and traditional heating systems
– Meets BS 7593:2019 guidelines
– Treats up to 100L of system water per 500ml bottle
– Helps prevent corrosion and prolong system life
– Developed with a specialist chemical manufacturer
If you're unsure how much inhibitor you need, contact your heating engineer or call us on 01723 321 000—we’re happy to help ensure your system is properly protected.
